The process of PG Medical admission for the year 2021 is still under process, through NEET exam. The exam was conducted on 11th September, 2021. Now, the close circle of Medical Counseling Committee, or MCC is giving details like, they are planning for the process of Counseling from November 23rd onwards. Even before the declaration of results, the admission is under a case in Supreme Court, related to the reservation of EWS and OBC categories. Based on the declaration of MCC in Supreme Court, the counseling will only start after completing the admission of the reserved seats for EWS and OBC. And, this reserved admission was meant to be started on October 25th itself. The case is likely to appear before the Court on November 23, which was postponed earlier.
Many appeals and petitions are submitted before the Court, regarding the notification of MCC published on July 29. The notification states that both EWS and OBC category will get a reservation of seats in all medical colleges under central government, with a percentage of 10 and 27 respectively. This reservation is brought before the Court for reconsideration now. As a part of this, the Assistant Solicitor General (ASG) of the Supreme Court, KM Nataraj has guaranteed that counseling process will start only after the proper determination on the validity of the reservation mentioned in the particular notification.
DY Chandrachud and BV Nagaratna, the Justices in the bench stated that, there will be a serious issue for students, when the admission is processed earlier to the court decision on the case. He further said that the court will take the word of MCC until the time when students stay not counseled. But, in the meantime many doctors are coming against the delay of the admission process. The doctors are criticizing the lag in their twitter pages. However, we hope that the court will take fast and correct decision on the case, and the admission will be processed as soon as possible.

Best thing about Vivek Gupta Sir is his selfless counselling. As I am already a BSC/ MSC, he suggested me to go to Philippines as I was able to get straight admission into MD and this finishes my entire course in 4 years flat. In any other country, it would have taken by 5.5-6 years. Ms Kanimojhi in Chennai office of GKWorks was equally supportive in coordination regarding documents, departure and all other formalities.
We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.
My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents. I really wanted to become a doctor and thus approached Hemant Mishra Sir, director of Bareilly branch of GKWorks. He went out of his way to convince my mother. He would have come 5 times to my home, invited us to his office and home 10 times before my mother was finally convinced. It is only due to Hemant Sir in Bareilly that I am pursuing my course today. I wish GKworks and especially Bareilly branch all the very best to help many more students for their life dreams.
