Who Topped NEET-UG 2023
On June 13, 2023, The National Testing Agency(NTA) declared the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)- UG 2023. Two students secured a perfect score and topped the exam.
Prabanjan J. from Tamil Nadu and Bora Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh are the two boys who topped the NEET-UG 2023 exam with a 99.99 percentile. The maximum number of qualifying candidates are from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
NTA conducted NEET-UG 2023 exam on May 7 2023 for 20,87,462 candidates at 4,097 different centers located in 499 cities in India and 14 foreign cities. As per the request of the State Government of Manipur, the medical examination was held on June 6th. A total of 8,753 candidates participated in the examination, which took place at 34 centers spread across 11 cities in the state of Manipur.
According to the DGHS, candidates will have to apply for a 15% All India Quota and counselling will be stopped once all the seats are filled. The Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Directorates of States will share more details and schedule of counselling on their official website.
Candidates can apply to their domicile States for State quota and other seats governed by the States. The concerned counselling authorities will prepare a merit list based on the All India Rank and as per the State rules. Moreover, the counselling for private medical colleges will be conducted by the concerned State Counselling Authority. It is recommended that candidates stay connected with the respective counselling authorities and the concerned institutions for additional information.
