Two men arrested for duping MBBS aspirants by falsely promising admission

On Monday, Uttar Pradesh police’s Special Task Force arrested two men for duping MBBS aspirants by promising them admission in medical college.

Sapan Taneja of Faridabad and Saurabh Upadhyay from Lucknow were arrested and they are duping people for the last four-five years. It is also being told that they had a set up in Noida as well.

They made about Rs 64 lakh by duping gullible aspirants in the name of getting them admission for MBBS.

Some items like details of several candidates, documents related to the Medical Council India, OMR sheets and Rs 1.04 in cash were seized.

A case has been registered against the guilty ones at Lakhimpur Kheri and further probe is underway. Also, the duo already has cases of fraud and related offences registered against them at Lucknow’s PGI police station and in Lakhimpur Kheri.
