Tamil Nadu Merit List for NEET 2022
The DME (Directorate of Medical Education) is the authority that releases merit list for NEET. For the 85% seats which come under the state a merit list will be released. The list includes names of the candidates who want to pursue courses of MBBS or BDS.
The one who wants to get colleges of Tamil Nadu has to achieve a minimum marks as declared by Nation Testing Agency. The candidates should have the domicile to obtain a seat in the city. The DME of Tamil Nadu will make the merit list according to the scores in NEET 2022 exam. The qualified students from Tamil Nadu must register their names to the colleges of the state to get admission.
The result of NEET is forwarded to MCC who make the merit list for the state. This state has about 40000 and more seats for MBBS and 1000 and more seats for BDS. Applicants having domicile have to register based on the marks. The counselling procedure totally depends on the merit list.
The merit list possesses Candidates’ ranks, name, category, Score and also Category rank. Moreover, a separate list is made for seats of state quota, management quota as well as quota for NRI.

The authority follows below mentioned rules to make the rank list:
Rule 1: Candidates gaining higher marks in Biology will obtain a higher rank.
Rule 2: If candidates obtain same marks in biology then marks of chemistry is compared. Student with higher marks in chemistry gets the higher rank.
Rule 3: If the tie still presents then the rank list is formed according to the lesser number of incorrect responses.
Rule 4: If the aforementioned rules fail, then the candidate older in age will obtain the higher rank.
The counselling process will start after the release of merit list. The authorities prepare the merit list on the basis of data received by the candidates during registration for NEET UG.
