TAMIL NADU 1st phase of virtual MBBS & BDS counselling.
Applicants must arrive at the institutions they have been assigned by 17 Feb.
For the 1st phase of virtual counselling for MBBS & BDS vacancies under the Statewide group, a total of 10,456 applicants were summoned. On 30 Jan, the counselling will begin at 10 a.m.
The 1st phase’s information was given by the DME’s selection panel. Applicants will have until 5 p.m. on 2 Feb to pick out and confirm their preferences. The panel will hold admissions counselling for MBBS & BDS programmes at State govt and self-financing medical & dental institutions, as well as the ESIC Medical Center & PGIMSR located K.K. Nagar, Chennai.
On 6 Feb, a roster of applicants asked for confirmation will be issued, plus certifications will be reviewed in 36 governmental medical institutions and 2 governmental dentistry institutions during 7-9 Feb.
Following the distribution of assignment directives to the best ten applicants underneath the 7.5 percent criteria, Health Secretary J. Radhakrishnan stated that vacancies will be allocated based on the applicants’ preferences once the certifications were verified. On 11/12 Feb, finalized allocation decisions would be published.
39,862 from 40,852 submissions were deemed to be qualified. There are 5,822 MBBS vacancies statewide (4,319 spots in governmental medical institutes & 1,503 spots in 17 auto-financing medical institutions). There are 437 places reserved for individuals who meet the priority allocation criteria. Governmental dentistry institutions have 170 places while self-financing dentistry colleges have 1,960 spots. There are 107 seats reserved for individuals who meet the priority allocation criteria.
“We recorded a film to demonstrate how the counselling will be handled. The certifications validation will take place at local governmental institutions, and the final distribution will be made on Feb 11/12 with the agreement of the applicants.”, the source added. On 13 Feb, applicants must retrieve their preliminary allocation instructions & appear at the institutions to which they have been assigned during 14-17 Feb.
According to authorities, the State has provided 10 spots to the dentistry pool underneath the preferred allocation programme, with the expansion to Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Dentistry College receiving approval from the National Medical Board. The State now has 107 spots available underneath the 7.5 percent mandate. On Fri, recipients of the preferred allocation began receiving physical counselling.

We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult.
