Students committing suicide for not qualifying NEET UG 2022?

Recently the NEET UG 2022 results were announced , this exam is conducted by the NTA and using the scores in the exam students can take admission into MBBS and other courses. But there were few cases reported of students committing suicide due to the bad result.

In 2017 a girl named Anitha committed suicide as she could not qualify the NEET UG exam but had scored brilliant in her class 12th exams and people protested and demanded for the old culture of giving admission on the basis of class 12th percentage .

Also , according to a survey by the crime branch of India , the majority of students committing suicide in India were NEET aspirants and could not qualify NEET UG exam even after many attempts. In 2020 , the state reported death of 2 students and 2021 the number increased to 12 students who were NEET aspirant.

This year also , a 19-year-old girl, Lakshmana Swetha from Tirumullavayal in Chennai committed suicide for the reason of not qualifying NEET UG 2022.

Although the Tamil Nadu state government has signed a petition demanding for not conducting NEET exam to get into MBBS or other medical course.

We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult.
