PUNJAB NEET UG 2022: MBBS, BDS seats under state quota?
The medical aspirants must input Punjab as their domicile in the form of NEET-UG. The government of Punjab has declared a notice that the candidates who have chosen the option Punjab as their domicile in the test of NEET-UG form will be able to do the counselling for 1550 MBBS and 1325 BDS state quota seats in medical colleges that are 11 in number and 16 colleges of dental.
This decision led to controversies over residents of Punjab who dream to get admission in programmes of MBBS and BDS. The NEET exam was held on July 17th by the National Testing Agency. It is expected that the result will be declared following week.
Since last four years, students from neighbouring states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh are getting admission to colleges of Punjab under the state quota according to class 11 and class 12 classes clearance. This system has led to various legal actions.
It is heard that students of different states has applied in Punjab State quota as well as in other states. This has violated the rule because the medical aspirants failed to take the advantage of domicile of two states.
The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) last year has tasked with the admissions in MBBS and BDS has dismissed seven students for taking the advantages of seats for state quota in more than one state by providing wrong information.
In Punjab, for the all-India quota seats which is of 15%, for 11 medical as well as 16 dental colleges there is 1650 MBBS and 1350 BDS seats. The BFUHS has taken mandatory action for submitting affidavits by the students.
Applications needed for post of VC
After the resignation of the Vice Chancellor, Dr Raj Bahadur, of BFUHS the department of Medical Education and Research invited applications for the post of VC.

We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult.
