The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon declare the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023. Students who took the examination can access their results by visiting the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.
The examination was conducted throughout the country, except for Manipur, on May 7. However, due to the law and order situation, the exam in Manipur was rescheduled to June 6. The provisional answer key was released on June 4, and students were given until June 6 to raise any challenges regarding the answer key. More than 20.08 lakh students enrolled for the examination. The examination took place at 4,097 centers across 499 cities within India and 14 cities abroad. The National Testing Agency (NTA) assured the parliamentary committee that the results for NEET UG 2023 would be announced latest by the second week of June.

NEET Counselling process:
After the declaration of the NEET result, qualified students will be able to participate in the centralised counselling, conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). During the NEET counselling process, candidates must register, do choice filling, fee payment, seat allocation, and document verification. Seats are allocated based on preferences, NEET rank, seat availability, and reservations.
NMC Proposes Common Counseling for NEET UG Admissions:
In its latest regulations for graduate courses across medical institutions nationwide, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has proposed conducting common counselling based on the NEET-UG merit list. The NMC stated that the counselling process will be guided by the seat matrix provided by the NMC. Furthermore, the common counselling is expected to have multiple rounds as may be necessary.
NEET-UG 2023 exam in Manipur on June 6:
In the state of Manipur, a total of 8,753 candidates registered for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023. The examination took place on June 6, with 34 centres spread across 11 cities. The cities where the exam was conducted on June 6 include Aizawl (Mizoram), Kohima/Dimapur (Nagaland), Shillong (Meghalaya), Guwahati (Assam), Jorhat (Assam), Silchar (Assam), Kolkata (West Bengal), Delhi, Bengaluru (Karnataka), and Imphal (Manipur).
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently published the provisional answer key for NEET UG 2023 for students who participated in the examination held on June 6 in Manipur and 10 other cities. Candidates are allowed to submit challenges regarding the answer key until 4 pm on June 12. Each objection can be raised for a fee of Rs 200 per question.

AIIMS, Delhi to conduct NExT:
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi is anticipated to take on the responsibility of conducting the National Exit Test (NExT) later this year. The NExT serves as a qualifying examination that grants registration to doctors and also serves as the basis for post-graduate admissions. The NExT exam is designed to be conducted in two parts.

The scorecard for NEET UG 2023 is available on the government’s digital document storage and verification platform, DigiLocker. To access the NEET-UG 2023 result, individuals are required to register themselves on the DigiLocker platform.
The counselling process for AIQ seats:
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the counselling process for 15 per cent of AIQ seats in NEET at mcc.nic.in. This counselling is applicable to all government medical and dental colleges, as well as deemed and central universities. It is important to note that candidates from Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible to participate in the NEET 2022 AIQ counselling. Instead, these candidates should apply through the NEET 2022 state quota counselling.
