NEET UG 2022: Topper’s Strategy?
The NEET 2022 results were recently announced and some students could successfully score 715 out of 720 in the exam . One of them was Hrishikesh Gangule , from Karnataka, son of a software engineer who secured AIR 3 in the NEET exam.
The topper Hrishikesh shared his preparation experience and mentioned that :
The online classes for him was actually beneficial. He used to have a very hectic schedule when classes were offline , going school to home, then home to offline classes was a challenging task for him. So because the online classes he was able to manage his time as well as could easily attend classes from home ,ask his doubts teachers were also supportive and helped him a lot in preparation. If he missed any topic or lecture any day , he now had the facility of recorded session/video which was also a plus point to the online classes, he added.
He also said that In the second wave of Covid -19 he got infected and had fever ,body ache but nothing more than this and after few days he again started attending his online lectures.
Strategies for the exam :
He stated that the NEET 2022 paper was totally NCERT based and almost 200 questions were from NCERT itself . These questions were indirectly framed with some twists to confuse students.
Initially he paid attention towards only biology but later on he started focusing on other 2 subjects that physics and chemistry also. He properly studied formulas, diagram and each single line of book and this thing helped him in scoring great in NEET exam.
Stress management :
Just like all other children even he could never focus on studies after continuous study period of 2 hours so he used to take short 10-15 minutes break and sometimes saw wildlife documentaries, read novels, painting to make himself feel fresh.
Participation in other exams:
Hrishikesh was never limited to NEET only he also scored 99.86 in JEE Mains exam , got 98.6% in CBSE class 10th and 99.4% in CBSE class 12th exam.
He got AIR 40 in the KVPY exam , cleared KCET , got first rank in veterinary sciences and BNYS and second ranks in pharmacy.
Future plans:
He always wished to study in the AIIMS Delhi. He wants to take cardiology as a specialization but he is still not sure about other courses and will decide the subject later on.

Best thing about Vivek Gupta Sir is his selfless counselling. As I am already a BSC/ MSC, he suggested me to go to Philippines as I was able to get straight admission into MD and this finishes my entire course in 4 years flat. In any other country, it would have taken by 5.5-6 years. Ms Kanimojhi in Chennai office of GKWorks was equally supportive in coordination regarding documents, departure and all other formalities.
We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.
My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents. I really wanted to become a doctor and thus approached Hemant Mishra Sir, director of Bareilly branch of GKWorks. He went out of his way to convince my mother. He would have come 5 times to my home, invited us to his office and home 10 times before my mother was finally convinced. It is only due to Hemant Sir in Bareilly that I am pursuing my course today. I wish GKworks and especially Bareilly branch all the very best to help many more students for their life dreams.
