NEET UG 2022: MBBS candidates have to participate in extended round 2?
The Director of Medical Education has declared that applicants for the BDS and MBBS programs do not have to engage in the revised (extended) round 2 counseling to save their place in that round (DME Tamil Nadu).
The final day for applicants to participate who were allotted or re-allocated in round 2 of online counseling and revised (extended) round 2 counseling has been prolonged till 3:00 pm on 9 Dec 2022.
The updated (expanded) round 2 counseling schedule has just been made public for the Government Quota (7.5%), Government Quota (92.5%), and Management Quota. At 10:00 am today (7 Dec 2022), the registration procedure concluded. On Dec,12,2022, at 10:00 am, the conclusions of updated round 2 for the Management quota and Government (92.5% and 7.5%) will be posted on the official site.
For this updated (expanded) round 2 counseling, 50 seats are provided. There are 25 seats available under the management quota, 2 under the 7.5% government quota, and 23 under the government quota overall. Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital, Perambalur, is the sole recipient of the seats.
Eligibility criteria–
NTA administers the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for admittance to undergraduate medical education with the MHRD’s and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare sanction. No other exam is acceptable for enrollment in UG programs. This examination is performed once every year.
