MCC NEET COUNSELLING
As the NEET counselling schedules are happening, a close eye has been kept on the seat allocation processes. From the undertakings, the Medical Counselling Committee, had given their official statements on the first round of the progress. MCC had made this declaration on their own website.
From their release, we come to an understanding that 6167 for MBBS have been allotted. The press release also brought to consideration that dental courses (BDS) has been allotted with 476 seats and Nursing with 487 seats. It also contained important information such as the tentative dates for round 1 registration of candidates. It began on 19th January and is believed to go on till 24th of the same month. The main procedure involves admission from the All-India Quota which is 15% of seats. This is inclusive of all universities and well-known institutes.
Another announcement that was made on their statements was the dates of the results of the seating procedure. Candidates are encouraged to get their credentials verified by the institutes by January 26th. Since the results date is 29th of January, the other processes are appreciated to happen before that. MCC is known for conducting 2 rounds of counselling but this time around, it is to be held in 4 rounds. The first 2 rounds are same as before but in addition to it, Mop Up Round and Stray Vacancy Round are set to enhance the process and make it easier. MCC works proficiently only in the All-India quota basis.
The graphical picturization includes, 2382 seats for General category students in the MBBS field, while also giving provision to PWD, OBC, SC and ST. It has been very unevenly distributed. The BDS category is also following the same criteria which included 187 seats for the general category. The nursing sector is also blooming with almost 200 seats allotted for the Open category.
Candidates are encouraged to verify themselves by the 19th of January with the help of Institute and university’s websites. It also gave the correct time limit one will have while doing so. The seat allocation will happen over a one-day procedure in order to save time. Candidates will be asked to report between 30th January and 4th February to their respective institutes. The second round is set to begin most likely by 7th or 8th January and the verification is said to happen between 15th and 16th February. The result date would 19th of February after which the reporting process which goes on for 6 days will take place till 26th of February.
Students however feel that these sessions are being more puzzling than the actual admission. This long process is set to bring out prolific graduates and doctors in the years to come.

As I am already a BSC/ MSC, he suggested me to go to Philippines as I was able to get straight admission into MD and this finishes my entire course in 4 years flat. We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.
My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents. I really wanted to become a doctor and thus approached Hemant Mishra Sir, director of Bareilly branch of GKWorks. He went out of his way to convince my mother.
