MBBS seats in MP
NEET examination talks have been largely growing in recent times. With many states seeing a high rise in candidatures, Madhya Pradesh also witnessed the same, owing to which, the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), released the tentative seat allocation procedures along with the matrix. It was released for both private and government universities, keeping in mind the primary round of counselling.
It is also notable to mention that this entire procedure will be based upon the UG NEET Examinations. Some numbers that follow is that, 4938 seats are allocated for after round 1. It has been very unevenly distributed among private, government and other autonomous colleges. The counselling procedure will be followed by the Quota system which includes, All-India, GOI, Sainik, FF, PWD and an open category which has the highest number of seats (1577) allotted. The least number of seats have been allotted to the GOI quota with a minimal of 29 seats. PWD category has been allotted a whopping 89 seats whereas FF and Sainik have been allotted 53 seats each.
Some of the government autonomous colleges include Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur, Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal to name a few. Some of the government universities for dental studies are Government Dental College, Indore and Shrimant Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia College in Shivpuri.
However, there is a large difference between the government and private colleges, admissions procedure for MBBS related admission. Private colleges follow a system of quotas within them to simplify the seat allocation process. NRI category, PWD category and Open Category systems are followed by them. They allot a specific percentage to each category and further allot on that basis. Some of the popular private colleges are Chirayu Medical College of Bhopal and Index Medical College of Indore. Both have a very good name for themselves in the field of education medicine and have been recognized for their immense work for the same reason.
BDS admissions have also been a roller coaster ride. The process of dental related admissions is also happening at full swing while the same quota system of NRI, PWD and Open Category is followed. Open Category seats however dominate in this front as well. Some well-known dental colleges in Madhya Pradesh are, Mansarovar Dental College of Bhopal, Index Institute of Dental Science, Indore and Institute of Dental Science and Advance Studies in Gwalior to point out a few notable institutions in the field.
The official press release by the department contains the names of all colleges, private and government, which come under the NEET admission procedural demands. Year after year, aspirants try hard to crack this ultimate test but only the further details that are yet to be released will answer the demands of the same.

Best thing about Vivek Gupta Sir is his selfless counselling. As I am already a BSC/ MSC, he suggested me to go to Philippines as I was able to get straight admission into MD and this finishes my entire course in 4 years flat. In any other country, it would have taken by 5.5-6 years. Ms Kanimojhi in Chennai office of GKWorks was equally supportive in coordination regarding documents, departure and all other formalities.
We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.
My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents. I really wanted to become a doctor and thus approached Hemant Mishra Sir, director of Bareilly branch of GKWorks. He went out of his way to convince my mother. He would have come 5 times to my home, invited us to his office and home 10 times before my mother was finally convinced. It is only due to Hemant Sir in Bareilly that I am pursuing my course today. I wish GKworks and especially Bareilly branch all the very best to help many more students for their life dreams.
