Eligibility criteria for MBBS in Madhya Pradesh
State Domicile Rules for getting 85% State Quota in Madhya Pradesh MBBS seats:
What is a domicile rule?
Let us learn in-depth about the domicile certificate. The certificate can be acquired from the local authority mostly the Tehsildar or the revenue department. The domicile certificate is evidence of a person’s permanent habitation. The eligibility norms for this certification diversify from state to state. Multiple states only assign certificates when an individual is a permanent occupant of the state. However, numerous states issue certificates after a person have lived in the state for many years based on the decision of the administration. In Madhya Pradesh, the certificate is issued to a person who is a permanent resident of the state or who has been living in the state for more than 5-years. The certificate can be acquired from Jan Seva Kendra. For online demand of certificate, a person can use the online portal i.e. MP e-District Portal. The certificate can be obtained from the Village Administrative Office and Circle Department. A 7-day duration is required for the issuing of the certificate. A certain amount is required as a part of the processing fees. Various certificates that may be demanded during the certificate-making manner include Adhar/Pan cards, passport photos, address proofs (such as service bills), etc. For the online demand of the certificate, people can get help from the official website. This rule is applicable for 85% of the seats. While the rest of the 15% of seats are reserved for the non-native students of Madhya Pradesh.
The counseling process in Madhya Pradesh is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME). This committee directs all 13 colleges of MP. DME conducts the counseling process and fills the seats according to the domicile rule. After the release of the result, the committee publishes a merit list. Students are enlisted according to their scores in NEET. All the enlisted students are assigned a certain place and time by the committee for the counseling. During the counseling process after a step called as a document, verification is of immense importance.
Only domicile holders of Madhya Pradesh can apply for MBBS and BDS courses offered under the 85% state quota.

Best thing about Vivek Gupta Sir is his selfless counselling. As I am already a BSC/ MSC, he suggested me to go to Philippines as I was able to get straight admission into MD and this finishes my entire course in 4 years flat. In any other country, it would have taken by 5.5-6 years. Ms Kanimojhi in Chennai office of GKWorks was equally supportive in coordination regarding documents, departure and all other formalities.
We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.
My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents. I really wanted to become a doctor and thus approached Hemant Mishra Sir, director of Bareilly branch of GKWorks. He went out of his way to convince my mother. He would have come 5 times to my home, invited us to his office and home 10 times before my mother was finally convinced. It is only due to Hemant Sir in Bareilly that I am pursuing my course today. I wish GKworks and especially Bareilly branch all the very best to help many more students for their life dreams.
