Eligibility criteria for MBBS in Gujarat
The state Domicile Rules for getting 85% state quota seats:
Each state utilizes the domicile rule. This rule permits the competent authority to confirm students depending on their original state. A domicile certificate is a confirmation of stable habitation granted to a person by the state administration. With this certificate, one can take the opportunities provided by the state administration. The state administration of Gujarat grants the certificate to the person who is a permanent resident of the state or who has completed more than 10-years of residence in the state.
The certificate can be received via online or offline mode. Different certificates that can be demanded during certificate formation are Adhar/Pan card, passport photo, address proof (such as utility bills), etc. For the online conception of certificates, people can take the help of the official website of their states. The remaining 15% of the quota is kept for international students or students who attend through the quota management policy.
In Gujarat, the accountable authority to direct the admission process through is the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC). This committee handles the admission process for 24 medical schools. The 24 colleges constitute 6200 MBBS seats. After the declaration of the cut-off list by NTA, the committee releases the merit list. All the qualified students who are enlisted in the merit list are given notifications regarding the counseling process. Gujarat follows the 85% quota rule. With the help of this rule, local students are given reservations for 85% of the seats. For the remaining 15% of the seats, the counseling is conducted by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Students are advised to frequently visit the official website of NTA and ACPUGMEC. The official websites of these authorities are www.ntaneet.nic.in & www.medguj.nic.in respectively.
Medical aspirants must be a domicile of the state for admission to Gujarat MBBS.
The applicants seeking admissions for the medical programmes must satisfy the domicile criteria of Gujarat.
The candidates are informed that if the “Domicile Certificate” of one’s application is found incorrect then the admission will stand cancelled automatically by the ACPUGMEC, Gandhinagar and further action will be taken as per rule.

Best thing about Vivek Gupta Sir is his selfless counselling. As I am already a BSC/ MSC, he suggested me to go to Philippines as I was able to get straight admission into MD and this finishes my entire course in 4 years flat. In any other country, it would have taken by 5.5-6 years. Ms Kanimojhi in Chennai office of GKWorks was equally supportive in coordination regarding documents, departure and all other formalities.
We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.
My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents. I really wanted to become a doctor and thus approached Hemant Mishra Sir, director of Bareilly branch of GKWorks. He went out of his way to convince my mother. He would have come 5 times to my home, invited us to his office and home 10 times before my mother was finally convinced. It is only due to Hemant Sir in Bareilly that I am pursuing my course today. I wish GKworks and especially Bareilly branch all the very best to help many more students for their life dreams.
