MBBS Admission Procedure at AFMC situated in Pune
AFMC i.e. Armed Force Medical College located in Pune has issued the detailed guide booklet for MBBS course admission for the upcoming batch of 2022.
The medical aspirants who have a will to pursue this MBBS programme from AFMC will have to enrol as well as apply for this college on DGHS website which is www.mcc.nic.in, in the window for registration issued by the DGHS.
Moreover, after the endmost enrolment date, a list is published mentioning the roll numbers of candidates who have applied for AFMC, Pune. On the basis of excellence and the result of NEET, the roll numbers of the selected candidates are put on view in the website for the screening procedure at AFMC. Roughly, 1700 students (360 girls and 1380 boys) will be notified for the screening. The schedule for selection at AFMC as well as the details of the shortlisted candidates will be accessible on the website www.afmcdg1d.gov.in / www.mcc.nic.in.
Furthermore, candidates who are shortlisted will be notified for the ToELR i.e. Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning. Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview as well as Medical Examination at AFMC. ToELR will be in CBT form i.e. Computer Based Test which includes 40 MCQs, each of 2 marks of total 80 marks. This exam will be held at AFMC, Pune.
The ultimate result of the nominated candidates in Merit List as well as Wait List would be accessible on the portal of MCC which is www.mcc.nic.in and also on the website of www.afmcdg1d.gov.in / www.mcc.nic.in.
The programme of MBBS is of four and a half years succeeding a mandatory internship training which is of one year. Additionally, each and every medical cadets authorized into the AFMS will go through training in service hospitals that are selected, acknowledged by NMC i.e. National Medical Commission.
Criteria for Eligibility:
The important original documents like certificates or mark sheets, hall ticket of NEET UG 2022, score card of NEET UG 2022 and NCC certificate, Sports certificates of school/National/International levels if any are necessary during AFMC, Pune screening time. Moreover, the students are required to provide a proof of appearing in the examination of qualification. Before admission, authentic mark sheet as well as pass certificate should be produced by the candidates.
On the basis of the score of NEET UG 2022 and screening at AFMC, two merit lists are provided, one for girls and one for boys. Furthermore, admission procedure will take place on the basis of the final merit list. The results will be provided on the websites mentioned above.
During the admission procedure, parents or guardians of the candidates are needed to sign a agreement bond. If any candidate wants to withdraw his or her admission after 7 days then he or she has to pay the bond money as per the mentioned guidelines.
NSL (Non Service Liability) declared candidates who have undertaken the disease or disability in the situation which is uncontrollable are not required to pay the bond money. But they have to pay the money required for training, tuition fees and supplementary charges. NOC to undertake internship after voiding all dues. However, the NSL students are allowed to stay in hostel on the basis of guidance of DGAFMS. The recent payable amount for training is Rs. 28,116/- each week and it may be modified in future.
The medical cadets must keep their NEET UG 2022 hall ticket until the completion of their admission as that will be required during interview and ultimate admission in college. The students will undergo medical examination. The college is residential and hostel is mandatory for the students. The students who will pursue MBBS from this college will have the opportunity to serve the Armed Forces.
Availability of Seats:
In 2022 total 145 students will have the opportunity to get admission. 115 seats for boys and 30 seats for girls. The Ministry of External Affairs & Ministry of Defence can also provide sponsorship and choose 5 NEET qualified international students to add with the rest 145 students. Moreover, 10 seats out of 145 are preserved for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes.
If any candidates are found to be guilty then their admission will be cancelled and fees will be confiscated.
