MUMBAI: The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has eased the floors for 670 MBBS slots to be added to the 2nd round of recruitment, which would be welcomed by medical students.
According to MUHS top authorities, the majority of institutions have been inspected, and the remainder would be finished quickly. The CET Cell published the allocation lists for private and government organisations in the 1st round of enrollment, although 650 of 2,720 places from private institutions and 20 places from government institutes were not included. Together in a span of 24 h, the selection list was released, removed, then re-uploaded with very few small adjustments, causing uncertainty between many students.
“It was a technological problem. However, in the next round, those seats would be allocated “According to a top MUHS official. The GR sanctioning the extra seats and new institutions, according to the MUHS spokesman, arrived in the previous week.
“The university should audit equivalent organisations in terms of offering a one-time affiliation.” The procedure has been sped up, and so these places will be offered for the next phase “According to the official,
Private institutions with reduced fees, such as Terna in Navi Mumbai and ACPM in Dhule, were excluded in the first list, and extra seats endorsed for KJ Somaiya, BKL Walawatkar, and NKP Salve campuses were not included in the first list, resulting in greater cut-offs in private institutions in round one.
According to parent association Sudha Shenoy, admittance to private organizations ended at statewide rank 5,620 the year before, and moved up to 5,165 this year in round one.
“For candidates, there really is no certainty. We expect they will issue a warning about the clearances, so that individuals may make the best decisions possible, “Shenoy said. The CET Cell emphasised that institutions that had received clearance from the NMC and the state were included in the seats allocation, but they also needed MUHS permission during distribution.

Best thing about Vivek Gupta Sir is his selfless counselling. As I am already a BSC/ MSC, he suggested me to go to Philippines as I was able to get straight admission into MD and this finishes my entire course in 4 years flat. In any other country, it would have taken by 5.5-6 years. Ms Kanimojhi in Chennai office of GKWorks was equally supportive in coordination regarding documents, departure and all other formalities.
We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.
My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents. I really wanted to become a doctor and thus approached Hemant Mishra Sir, director of Bareilly branch of GKWorks. He went out of his way to convince my mother. He would have come 5 times to my home, invited us to his office and home 10 times before my mother was finally convinced. It is only due to Hemant Sir in Bareilly that I am pursuing my course today. I wish GKworks and especially Bareilly branch all the very best to help many more students for their life dreams.
