Madhya Pradesh executes 50% fees of Private Medical Colleges
The state of Madhya Pradesh has implemented the NMC order about the government fee in 50% seats of each private college. The State Director of Medical Education has ensured in a notice that apart from the 15% NRI quota, the rest of the remaining 85% seats for genera quota will be according the government medical colleges fees.
The DME stated that the admission for the rest 42.5% seats shall be on the basis of yearly fee declared by AFRC (Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee) or Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission (MPPURC).
Although the state of Madhya Pradesh is the first one to execute the NMC fee order, yet it has the chance to get challenged in front of court obeying the rules as that of the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
It has been stated earlier that private medical colleges as well as the deemed to be Universities are not happy with the order of NMC that was issued on February, 2022. After detailed consultations it was decided that 50% seats of private colleges will be on the basis of the fee in the government colleges. Those candidates who have opted for government quota seats will be eligible for these seats in their respective medical colleges.
On the other hand if the seats for government quota are less than the remaining candidates will also get the benefit. Many medical aspirants who choose to leave India for such expensive study in medical, are relieved for such order by NMC.
However, the authorities of private medical colleges had requested the Union Health Ministry to direct the NMC for returning this order. The high court of Kerala has recently had a clarification regarding the fee order. The high court of Madras also had stated concern for the rest 50% for the massive fees in private institutes.
With respect to all these controversies in various states, the state of Madhya Pradesh has implemented the order of NMC regarding the fees in medical colleges. The admission in MD/MS has started from 14th September and continuation till 21st September in Madhya Pradesh. This order can be a game changer in medical education of India.

Best thing about Vivek Gupta Sir is his selfless counselling. As I am already a BSC/ MSC, he suggested me to go to Philippines as I was able to get straight admission into MD and this finishes my entire course in 4 years flat. In any other country, it would have taken by 5.5-6 years. Ms Kanimojhi in Chennai office of GKWorks was equally supportive in coordination regarding documents, departure and all other formalities.
We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.
My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents. I really wanted to become a doctor and thus approached Hemant Mishra Sir, director of Bareilly branch of GKWorks. He went out of his way to convince my mother. He would have come 5 times to my home, invited us to his office and home 10 times before my mother was finally convinced. It is only due to Hemant Sir in Bareilly that I am pursuing my course today. I wish GKworks and especially Bareilly branch all the very best to help many more students for their life dreams.
