Information regarding the criteria of domicile for NEET counselling, 2021 Maharashtra

 

The counselling for Maharashtra NEET 2021 is convened by Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra. The candidates seeking admission for MBBS BDS are required to register themselves for counseling on the official website- info.mahacet.org. The counselling is scheduled to scan the eligible admission seeking candidates under 85% of State quota seats. Also for filling the 100% seats of the private medical institutions.

 

To participate in the Maharashtra NEET 2021 counseling,the candidate must have the domicile certificate. Only the NEET qualified candidates will be eligible to apply for counselling procedure. The criteria of domicile has been uploaded on the official website and can be easily checked.

9,000 MBBS and 3,526 BDS seats of medical institutions of Maharashtra are scheduled to be occupied by the eligible candidates via the counselling procedure.

 

Domicile criteria for NEET-

 

Five possible ways of fulfilling the  NEET, Maharashtra domicile criteria are mentioned below-

 

Maharashtra state candidacy type A:

 

  • The candidates must have completed their higher education (10+2) from Maharashtra itself.
  • Candidates should have their birth place mentioned as Maharashtra in the birth certificates.
  • Also the candidates should have a domicile certificate of the state Maharashtra mentioning that they were inhabitant of the State for the tenure of more than 10 years.

 

Maharashtra state candidacy type B:

 

  • Candidates must have completed their higher education (10+2) from the state Maharashtra.
  • Either of the candidate’s two parents must have the state domicile certificate of Maharashtra.

 

Maharashtra state candidacy type C:

 

  • Candidates must have completed their higher education (10+2) from the state Maharashtra.
  • Among the candidate’s parents (mother or father) one must be the government employee or part of government of India posted in Maharashtra State for reporting their duty.

 

Maharashtra state candidacy type D:

 

  • Candidates must have completed their higher education (10+2) from the state Maharashtra.
  • Among the candidate’s parents (mother or father) one must be the government employee of Government of Maharashtra.

 

Maharashtra state candidacy type E:

 

  • Candidates must have completed their higher education (10+2) from the Maharashtra-Karnataka border
  • Candidate’s mother tongue must be Marathi and must have the domicile or birth certificate of Maharashtra.

 

Candidates while registering themselves for Maharashtra NEET 2021 counseling should perform the choice filling for their desired medical colleges. The admissions in medical colleges of Maharashtra will be done on the basis of availability of seats, NEET-UG  all India rank,reservation of seats,choice filling by the candidates and other factors.

We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult.
