Honourable Supreme Court of India remarked on Monday that any method it settles on to designate the EWS for giving reservation privileges will be applicable to NEET-PG 2022-23 seats too.”The process of setting the Economically Weaker Section criteria for the following session has not been halted.” We said that the Economically Weaker Section quota will be determined by our directive. The case was put on hold until March, when it was finally resolved. The process is unstoppable. The claimants were briefed by a Division led by Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, who remarked, “Whatever we decide will be exerted.”
Varun Bhatt and others have petitioned the court on the implementation of the Economically Weaker Section category in the NEET PG 2022-2023 examination. In her appearance on behalf of the students, attorney Charu Mathur stated that they had requested a prolongation of the timeframe for the edit feature in the online forms in accordance with the EWS regulations.
The Court stated that it could not give any such prolongation of the edit period and that if the authorities had made a decision, it should stand. “Whatever occurs in the suit, it will dominate,” Justice Chandrachud stated, citing his jurisdiction under Article 32.
Some MBBS doctors have also filed a petition, requesting that the Centre issue an information bulletin stating that the Economically Weaker Section standards for the academic year 2022-23 will be determined in accordance with the entreaties demanding the revised qouta policy (27 percent OBC and 10% EWS) in the NEET AIQ. They, too, had pushed for a postponement of the edit period until 11 Feb, 2022, so that applicants could pick the EWS group once the ongoing case was resolved.
The Supreme Court ruled on January 20 that merit cannot be limited to narrow performance standards in an open entrance exam that simply ensures legal fairness and equality.
In the NEET for Undergraduate and Postgraduate medical stream, it has maintained the 27 percent quota for OBCs in AIQ slots.

Best thing about Vivek Gupta Sir is his selfless counselling. As I am already a BSC/ MSC, he suggested me to go to Philippines as I was able to get straight admission into MD and this finishes my entire course in 4 years flat. In any other country, it would have taken by 5.5-6 years. Ms Kanimojhi in Chennai office of GKWorks was equally supportive in coordination regarding documents, departure and all other formalities.
We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.
My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents. I really wanted to become a doctor and thus approached Hemant Mishra Sir, director of Bareilly branch of GKWorks. He went out of his way to convince my mother. He would have come 5 times to my home, invited us to his office and home 10 times before my mother was finally convinced. It is only due to Hemant Sir in Bareilly that I am pursuing my course today. I wish GKworks and especially Bareilly branch all the very best to help many more students for their life dreams.
