Details of first round of NEET UG counselling
As per the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (Undergraduate), or NEET (UG), 2021, the counseling for national-level admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc nursing courses has started. On 24 January, the Medical Counseling Committee will accept first-round choice and locking on its website www.mcc.nic.in until 11.55pm.
Under the All-India Quota system, candidates with low fees can pursue MBBS courses at prestigious medical colleges across India. On the MCC website, the ‘Participating Institutions’ link contains information about each college. Candidates can use this information while filling out the application. On 29 January, the first round of allotment will be publicly announced. The list of women’s colleges is also included in this list.
The 15% All-India Quota seats at the national-level government medical/dental colleges are in addition to the seats offered by 19 All-India Institutes of Medical Sciences, JIPMER (Puducherry and Karaikal), and 14 Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges.For AFMC in Pune, this is the first selection phase.

So when do you enrol?
Between the 30th of January and the 4th of February, colleges will acknowledge initial-round enrollment aspirants. Aspirants who may not intend to enlist at this period get to choose the “free exit,” in which circumstance their prorated refund will not be squandered. Through the second round,
Aspirants can enlist for the second round and designate ‘options available’ effective on February 9th. On the 14th of February, these would be shut up in the dark. Through mop-up round,

Round of stray-vacancy
In the stray-vacancy round, there seems to be no registration or choosing. The online division would be established by the selections made during the mop-up cycle. The online reservation list will be provided on March 22nd. Candidates who have been designated can attend in colleges from March 23 to March 26.
The designated universities would acquire a list of candidates ten times the number of unfilled seats, evaluated on merit.

Admission to BSc Nursing programmes has been incorporated in the MCC counselling process for the first time. The percentile cut-off is similar to that of the MBBS and BDS programmes. The counselling will be held at eight nursing schools.
Only women are admitted to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Lady Hardinge Medical College, Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, and College of Nursing, Safdarjung Hospital situated in Delhi. The MCC is responsible for all of the seats at these colleges.
Women’s institutions Ahilya Bai College of Nursing and Florence Nightingale Training College for Nursing are both located in Delhi; however, only 15% of seats are available for national-level counselling.
Male candidates are admitted to Benaras Hindu University’s nursing college and Bhopal Nursing College. The All-India Quota applies to all seats at these colleges.
There will be a second mop-up round after four rounds of allotments, but solely for nursing courses.
Low-cost nursing schools
Some medical schools charge a very cheap cost. The colleges are: Lady Hardinge Medical College (Delhi), Maulana Azad Medical College (Delhi), Assam Medical College (Dibrugarh), University College of Medical Sciences (Delhi), Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences (Nalanda, Bihar), JIPMER (Puducherry/Karaikal), 19 AIIMS centres, Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Ranchi), Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (Imphal), and
Counseling in AYUSH, veterinary medicine, and agriculture
The website https://aaccc.gov.in will be used to conduct national-level counselling for AYUSH courses (ayurveda, homoeopathy, siddha, and unani). The website http://vci.dadf.gov.in/counseling provides veterinary counselling.
The ICAR entrance exam: https://icarexam.net is used to select students for agricultural courses at the national level.
Points to consider in general
It is only possible to register/apply once. If more than one application/registration is filed, the candidates will be disqualified.
Candidates should preserve their login passwords for future use and remember to logout after filling out their choices.
The information provided on the website is definitive, and the candidate will not be permitted to amend it.
If the candidate does not enrol in college after the second or subsequent rounds of allotments, the security deposit will be forfeited. If it is a considered university, this sum will be substantial.
The fees at the deemed universities would be too expensive. As a result, be cautious while choosing your filler options.
In deemed universities, there are no reservations for scheduled categories/backward communities/differently abled/economically backward candidates.
Candidates will not be notified immediately; thus, keep checking the websites for developments.
Candidates who are Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) or of Indian Origin (PIO) would be considered for NRI seats. They might be able to get general admission tickets at the AIIMS, though.
Quota for ESIC
Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) quota is for admission to UG medical seats for wards of ESIC insured people (ESIC). These Insured Persons (IPs) are qualified to apply for ESIC’s 15% IP quota seats. Seats for the IP quota at the 14 ESIC colleges would be allocated by the MCC.
The MCC assignment also includes the 15% All-India Quota seats and the 35% ESI quota at the Government Medical College, Kollam (previously ESIC Medical College, Parippally).
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can apply to any of the 14 ESIC medical colleges.
Admission to AIIMS and AFMC
The age limit for admission to AIIMS and the required grade point average for class 12 are different.
Only the registration for AFMC admission is done during MCC counselling. The institution is in charge of the rest of the admissions procedure.
