About Him

Mr. Vivek Gupta is a Chief Catalyst at Global Knowledge Works. He is an entrepreneur, a mentor, career counselor, an author and so much more.

Alumni of reputed institutes like IIM-Bangalore, Delhi Technical University and among the top 20 of his batch, Mr. Vivek Gupta has almost 20 years of experience. He is a man who has experienced many diverse backgrounds, culture and people. He being a knowledgeable man who has also worked in senior post for many well-known brands like Coca-Cola, American Express, Askmebazaar.com, Shiksha.com, Naukri.com and startups like N.E.S.T Pvt Ltd.

The professional experience gained over the year gave him a set of versatile business skills and a deep sense of the business world. He has a collection of skill that covers managing large teams across countries. Development of business and product, New Product Launching, P&L management, Marketing, and Strategy. He knows how to handle a tough situation and meet up the customer expectations.

After working in many firms, he developed a great interest in education and digital business. He became one of the founding members of the Silicon Valley funded by the start-up studyplaces.com which was the 1st digital platform of India in the education area. After working as the Vice President- Operations, Marketing and Finance for two years there, he later on worked with Shiksha.com and hotcourses.com so he could continue to pursue his interest in the field of education and technology.

To contribute in the educational sector Mr. Vivek Gupta started giving counselling to the students for a particular amount of time. He took many educational sessions in various institutes of India. He regularly takes classes in the weekends for CAT aspirants. After all this he thought of starting his own venture- Global Knowledge Works (GK works), he offer many interesting services like MBBS India Counselling, MBBS Abroad Counselling, GGSIPU admissions counselling, Career tests for different streams, coaching for exams like CLAT, TOEFEL, NEET, guidance for studying and settling aboard, Life mentoring and personal coaching.

Even after achieving so much, he has also left his mark on being a author, he wrote 2 books- “Crack the CAT” for MBA students preparing for CAT exam, and one more motivational book- “Be the CEO of your life”. He also runs a blog called “Be the CEO of your life”, that provides his insights in all domains of life.

After a 4 year stint with American Express, Satyam joined Michael and Susal Dell Foundation to take his passion to profession.

    Sameer Mahandru is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore (2004). He has worked with companies like Hindustan Lever, Asian Paints, SABMiller in the Sales & Marketing function for more than 6 years prior to starting operations at Indospirit. Currently he is MD and Chairman of Indospirit Distribution Limited.

    We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult. Thanks to Amit Pandey Sir, who is Gkworks Varanasi incharge, he helped us to do all small things. Going with us to get forex to helping us doing RTGS for fee payment, he was always there with us. He only helped us to apply for passport online and went with us to passport office Varanasi. Such support at ground level was provided by GKworks team both in Varanasi and Delhi.

    My parents were not very comfortable to send me abroad especially my mother as I am the only son of my parents.
