It is a very formidable responsibility to look for jobs for freshers and as well as for the one who wishes to re-start their career in this age of pandemic.

But with the use of some strategies candidates can get selected for a job.

Due to COVID-19 a lot of industries like pharmaceutical, healthcare, food, and agricultural services to supply chain management, and technology communications are growing rapidly. Candidates who wish to re-start their career or the freshers can easily get placed in such companies.

While switching between different jobs or starting your career can create anxiety among many candidates.

Nevertheless, many companies are hiring in a large amount.

It is not good to become discouraged about any situation and let pandemics take control of things. Requirements are going to change drastically.

Following are some tips one can use

  1. Connect with your network

Firstly try to get in contact with your past employer or colleagues to see if the company is having any job vacancy.

They can also assist you in getting acquainted with the current scenarios regarding jobs.

With the help of your colleagues, you can know about the skills leading companies are demanding.

  1. Let your transferrable skills be known

While applying for a job make sure that your skills are highlighted and always try to mention that your skills from your past job can prove beneficial to the company.

Make sure to let your employer know that you can make good strategies and bring new ideas to the company.

And always try to mention your skills as a good leader, communicator, team player.

  1. Present a valid reason for your gap year

If your gap period extends for less than a year then you do not need to explain your absence. But if your gap period extends to more than 2 years then clarify your absence.

Try to be honest about your leave and be confident. You should let the employer know about your interest in the work.

Let the employer know about your skills, your experiences, your achievements, and various challenges you encountered.

Do not be apologetic for your absence but show your willingness to the employer.

  1. Negotiate for what you deserve

Because of the pandemic salaries offered now are less as compared to the start of the pandemic. But never let this fact stop you from negotiating.

You may receive less salary as compared to your colleagues, this may be because you are new to the industry or job. Yet see that your financial problems are resolved or not.

At such times you should consider your expectations and other options available for you.

Try to create a profile that will stand out in the crowd and be satisfactory to the employer. Enhance your skills and do mention them.

  1. Keep applying and be patient

Whether the company is a leading brand or not they are looking for the right employee.

Always remain communicative with the managers and hiring persons because job search may take time.

Give your time and put effort during such times. Be determined with the proper sort of approach.

MBBS Abroad is a big decision and your success depends upon the honesty of your consultant. It is a long process starting from choosing the right college to reaching there at college door step and finally studying there for next 5-6 years. You are in a new country without many old friends. We were sure to approach a consultant who is based out of our district only so that not only during admission but for next 6 years, we can have smooth interactions. So, we approached GKWorks as they have a branch in Saharanpur. As we anticipated, there are lot of things to be done during admission process that goes for 3-4 months. At every step, it was useful for us to have our consultant who was only 20 minutes’ drive from our home. We were able to discuss everything face to face any day and thus were able to have easy process.
